Welcome BCity Family! Hope you all had a safe summer and made the best of it during this pandemic. The new dance year is about to begin and we are so looking forward to it! We are thrilled to have you here with us for this dance season! Below is some information for the month of September.
THINGS TO KNOW:
Class Registration
Classes begin this week, but you still have time to sign up! You can register for classes online anytime (bcityreps.com/online-registration/) or in the studio.
Class Start Date
Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. They will be limited to 9-12 students. We can’t wait for another exciting year with you all!
Newsletter
You will receive a newsletter each month via email to let you know what is happening at the studio for the upcoming month. The newsletters will also be posted on our website. The newsletter also serves as a reminder for when tuition is due.
COVID-19 Rules and Regulation
Parents and guardians will not be allowed to stay in the building during classes. BCity will have signs posted and staff available to guide dancers to their destination. Parents and guardians with students 6 years old and under will be allowed to stay in the waiting area 6 feet apart. Below are some mandatory guidelines that we put in place to ensure the safety of all our students.
· Dancers must enter the building with masks on.
· Prior to studio entry: must wash hands and temperatures will be scanned.
· Sanitation stations for students and instructors will be available.
· Studio dance floors will be marked 6 feet apart for students.
· Studio space will be disinfected after every class.
· BCity will provide each student with a personal bin for belongings.
· Each student must bring their own water bottle or may purchase one at the studio.
Tuition/Payment
As a reminder, tuition is due on the 1st of every month. Tuition will be considered late if not paid by the 3rd of every month. If late, there will be a $10 late fee added after the 3rd of each month. Tuition payments can be made through Venmo (@bcityreps), cash, check, or online at www.bcityreps.com (extra fees). It can be a bit confusing with the extra fees, so if you are not sure whether you’ve paid the tuition, please contact the studio. You can reach us by phone at 508-649-7334, via email at bcityreps@gmail.com, or in person at the studio.
Tuition balances will have to be paid in full before costumes are sent home with your child. Please try to have all invoices paid on time. If payment arrangements need to be made, please send us an email. As a friendly reminder for the 2021 Dance Recital, your child will not dance in the recital unless all balances are paid in full.
Dress Code
Students should be properly dressed for each class they attend, including having the proper dance shoes. Below we have listed what’s acceptable for each class.
Contemporary/Ballet/Musical Theater
Attire: Leggings, fitted tanks/tops, leotards, spandex shorts. Shorts, skirts, capris or jazz pants can be worn over their leotards. Any fitted tops may be worn over the top of leotards.
Shoes: Toe-Undies/Foot paws or barefoot
Breakdancing/Majorette
Attire: Comfortable clothes (no jeans) – t-shirts, leggings, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc.
Shoes: Comfortable sneakers
Hip Hop/Step
Attire: Comfortable clothes (no jeans) – t-shirts, leggings, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies, etc.
Shoes: Comfortable sneakers or combat boots
Afro-Caribbean/Jazz Funk
Attire: Leggings, fitted tanks/tops, leotards, spandex shorts. Capris or jazz pants can be worn over their leotards. Any fitted tops may be worn over the top of leotards.
Shoes: Toe-Undies, barefoot, or sneakers
Acro/Tumbling
Attire: fitted clothing (not baggy)
Shoes: Sneakers and barefoot on mats
